Distance Learning Tips Series Part 1

Resources for Online Schooling! As school may be starting for some of us online, I though I'd share some of the resources that have helped me with Distance Learning. 1.  Education Station Shameless self promo!! My friends and I started this organization to connect students with minimally priced high school and college tutors. We have students as young as 4 and as old as 15. Make sure to check it out if you ever need any homework help or support. Since March we have had great success and have expanded to 30+ tutors now. https://educationstationab.wixsite.com/learn 2. GoPeer -  Tutoring By College Kids                        I used this virtual service during the Spring of 2020 to help me get some support with AP testing. The gist of it is that they match you up with a college student to help you with subjects they are experts in. You get a couple free sessions and it isn't too expensive. https:// go peer .or...

Introduction

I'll start by saying welcome and introducing myself. I'm a sixteen-year-old from California looking to inform my community about ways we can help others during this time and ways to make the best use of our time. It's crazy how many people went from having packed schedules to either nothing to do during the day except eat and breathe. But there are also people who went to busier schedules providing food, shelter, transportation and medical service and much more. While it's important to make sure we maintain a healthy lifestyle we should also look into how we can help those helping the world. A bit of an intro to what this blog is going to be about. I'll be posting a range of activities from stuff you can do at home with no necessary materials needed, movies to watch, book reviews and how we can help our community. Have suggestions? Feel free to email:  contacttheartoftimes@gmail.com with any ideas Thank you and stay tuned! xx
