Distance Learning Tips Series Part 1

 Resources for Online Schooling!

As school may be starting for some of us online, I though I'd share some of the resources that have helped me with Distance Learning.

1.  Education Station

Shameless self promo!! My friends and I started this organization to connect students with minimally priced high school and college tutors. We have students as young as 4 and as old as 15. Make sure to check it out if you ever need any homework help or support. Since March we have had great success and have expanded to 30+ tutors now.

2. GoPeer -  Tutoring By College Kids

I used this virtual service during the Spring of 2020 to help me get some support with AP testing. The gist of it is that they match you up with a college student to help you with subjects they are experts in. You get a couple free sessions and it isn't too expensive.

3. Google Calendar

While this may seem basic, if you're a procrastinator lime me this is for you.

You can plan out your day and schedule times you need to be working on specific tasks and you will get reminders on your devices to do so. If you go deep down the youtube rabbit holes or get stuck in Netflix, this is a great way to remind yourself to get work down and to plan out your week. If you invite friends to your event, it generates an automatic google meet (google's video conferencing software) link for the two or more of you and sends it to them.

I'll regularly be posting different ways to make online learning easier so make sure to check back!!!
